M. Sheila Hughes, O.P.

Sister Sheila Hughes (Aunt Margaret) went to her eternal reward on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012. She was 94 years old and dedicated 76 years as a Sister of St. Dominic. Sister Sheila ministered as a teacher for almost 30 years. She spent some time in Southold as she cared for her ailing eldest niece, Eileen (Orientale) Quinn.

Sister Sheila is survived by her sister, Joan Lombard of Florida; her sister-in-law, Ruth Hughes of Babylon; and numerous loving and faithful nieces and nephews.
