Recap: Southold Town Board regular meeting

TROY GUSTAVSON FILE PHOTO | Rabbit Lane in East Marion was among the streets hit hardest by Hurricane Sandy on the North Fork.

Hurricane Sandy isn’t done with us yet.

Last week’s superstorm takes over the Southold Town Board’s agenda this morning beginning at 9 a.m., where discussion of clean-up efforts and waiving fees for repair of storm damage will take center stage.

Also on the agenda are discussions of Plum Island zoning, the Goldsmith Inlet restoration effort and an update on recent work at the town’s highway departments.

Public hearings on the 2013 budget are scheduled for 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. tonight, followed by the regular town board meeting at 7:30. The Suffolk Times will be live blogging from the morning work session and beginning 7 p.m. at the second public hearing.
