Masked trio robs Barth’s at gunpoint

Three masked men armed with a handgun stormed Barth’s drugstore on East Main Street in downtown Riverhead and demanded prescription drugs from the employees inside, Riverhead police said.

The marked trio, with one person armed, entered the mainstay downtown business about 6 p.m.Wednesday and demanded cash and prescription drugs.

They made off with unspecified proceeds, police said. No injuries were reported.
