Southold Police catch man wanted by the FBI

A Brooklyn man wanted on drug charges by the FBI was arrested early Sunday morning by the Southold Town Police Department, police said in a press release.

Benard Soto, 31, was a passenger in a car stopped for a routine traffic violation along Route 25 in Cutchogue shortly before 2 a.m. During the course of the stop, it was discovered Mr. Soto was wanted on charges related to selling cocaine, police said.

He was held overnight at Southold Police Headquarters and is awaiting transfer to federal custody.
