Southold Planning Preview: Waterfront transfer, convenience store on agenda

A proposed convenience store on Cox Lane in Cutchogue, just north of the intersection of Route 25 and Cox Lane, is up for public hearing before the Southold Town Planning Board at its 4:30 p.m. meeting this afternoon. The meeting will take place in the main town hall meeting room.

On the agenda at this afternoon’s work session in the town hall annex board room is a proposed lot line change to transfer about an acre of property from the New Suffolk Waterfront Fund to Robins Island Holding, LLC. Robins Island owner Louis Moore Bacon agreed earlier this year to purchase one acre of the waterfront site for preservation in order to help pay off the loan the waterfront fund used to purchase the property.

Also on the work session agenda is an ongoing discussion of the site plan for a retail winery at Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck and a proposed 2,520-square-foot addition to a storage and office building owned by Richard Corrazini on Cox Lane in Cutchogue. The work session will begin at 2:30 p.m.
