A Greenport man was awaiting arraignment Monday morning, Dec. 31, following his arrest by Southold Police for allegedly cutting another Greenport man in the face with a broken beer bottle.

Esteban De Jesus Perez Bran, 30, was being held on a felony assault charge and for criminal possession of a weapon, police said. The attack reportedly took place during a disturbance at a Center Street, Greenport address late Sunday night.

The man Mr. Bran reportedly attacked was taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital for treatment of multiple lacerations, police said.
