Henry Pierce of Peconic died Feb. 1 at Riverhead Care Center. He was 90 years old.

He was born May 17, 1922, in Elmhurst, N.Y., to Julian and Josephine Pierchinski. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945 and married his fiancée, Jennie, on Feb. 23, 1964, in Lindenhurst.

Mr. Pierce had owned Pierce Yacht Basin in Greenport. He enjoyed sailboat racing with East End sailing clubs, family members said, and he also built and flew airplanes, both real and remote control .
He is survived by his wife and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were handled by Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue. Cremation was private.
