The Southold Town Board will hold a public hearing Tuesday to discuss a proposed set of changes to the town’s dog control laws.

The proposed regulation aims to prohibit dogs and domestic animals from public areas, including recreational spaces and athletic fields.

This is the second public hearing on the proposed changes this year. Southold Town began re-examining its policies in 2012 after receiving complaints about dogs running lose on Bailie Beach in Mattituck.

Tuesday’s Town Board meeting starts at 4:30 p.m. Scroll down to read the tentative agenda.
