Cops: Cutchogue man charged with DWI

A 37-year-old Cutchogue man was charged with driving while intoxicated after rear-ending a vehicle in front of him in Westhampton Friday night, Southampton Town Police said.

Brian H. McCleery was driving on County Road 31 when his car struck the vehicle in front of him near Stewart Avenue at about 6:38 p.m., police  said. There were no injuries reported.

Police at the scene determined Mr. McCleery was intoxicated and arrested him for DWI, a misdemeanor, police said. He was transported to police headquarters and held for arraignment.
