Mary Ellen Malinauskas

Mary Ellen Malinauskas of Greenport died Aug. 8 at the Westhampton Care Center. She was 87.

She was born Feb. 17, 1926, in Greenport to John and Gladys (Macomber) Davis. She left school after eighth grade to work and help her family and married Charles J. Malinauskas on Sept. 12, 1948, at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport.

A housewife, Ms. Malinauskas enjoyed yard sales, shopping, bingo and spending time with family and friends, relatives said. She was a member of St. Agnes Rosary Society, Knights of Lithuania and Companions of the Forest of America.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan, of Greenport, and Mary Ann Boken of Cutchogue; her sister-in-law, Agnes Dunn; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Katherine Bogden, in 1998.

The family received visitors Aug. 11 at Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport. A church service was held Aug. 12 at St. Agnes R.C. Church, officiated by Father Thomas Murray. Interment followed at the church cemetery in Greenport.
