Robert Hogan

Robert “Bob” Hogan of East Marion and Wallingford, Pa., passed away July 24 at the age of 86.

He was born July 14, 1927, and grew up in Syracuse before joining the Coast Guard during World War II and later serving as an Army sergeant in Korea. He received a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Pratt Institute in New York, where he met Jean Olsson, who would become his wife of 57 years before passing away last June.

Bob was an architectural designer and talented artist whose acrylic and watercolor landscapes were displayed locally. His artistic talent and constant humor will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Hogan (Jim) Oetinger and Leelee (Richard Preis) Hogan; his son, Richard (Carron Sherry) Hogan; and granddaughters Claire and Julie Oetinger and Lily, Annika, Eloise and Violette Sherry Hogan.

Arrangements were handled by Cavanagh-Patterson Family Funeral Home in Media, Pa.
