Cops: Accident in Greenport sends two to hospital
Two people were taken to the hospital after a car accident in Greenport Saturday afternoon, Southold Town police said.
Around 3:30 p.m., a 61-year-old College Point man, heading westbound on Route 25, failed to yield while attempting to make a left turn onto Manhasset Avenue, police said.
The driver struck another vehicle driven by a 78-year-old East Marion man heading eastbound on Route 25, police said.
Both were taken to the Eastern Long Island Hospital for treatment, according to a police report.
No citations have been issued currently, police said.
