Three local teens have been arrested in connection with a string of break-ins at Greenport school buildings over the last two months, according to a Southold Town police press release.

Police arrested Jarod Tramontana, 17, of Greenport on Friday and James McElroy, 16, of Orient on Sunday, officials said. A third teenager — a 15-year-old who was not named in the press release “due to his age” — was also arrested, police said.

Mr. Tramontana was charged with felony burglary, criminal possession of stolen property and unlawful possession of marijuana, officials said. Mr. McElroy was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, police said.

Police did not say what the youngest teen was charged with. His case is being handled by the Juvenile Aid Bureau, officials said.

No other details about the investigation were immediately available.
