Richard Ahlers

Former Cutchogue resident Richard Ahlers died Dec. 7, 2013, in Neptune Beach, Fla. He was 56.

Born July 20, 1957, to George and Patricia Ahlers, he grew up in Cutchogue and lived most of his life on the North Fork.

Mr. Ahlers is survived by his sons, Richard Jr., of Neptune Beach and Thomas, of Laurel; his father; and his siblings James, Geri Terry, Susan Simmons and Patricia Hardilek.

A memorial service was held in Neptune Beach Dec. 14.
