Kathleen T. Lazarus

Kathleen T. Lazarus of Jamesport died Jan. 12 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. She was 57. 

Ms. Lazarus was born Dec. 5, 1956, in New York City to Raymond and Therese Keating and had worked as a registered nurse with the Dominican Sisters. She married Joel Lazarus Aug. 15, 1982, in Port Jefferson.

Family members said she loved animals and enjoyed bird-watching, photography and stained glass.

Predeceased by her father, Ms. Lazarus is survived by her husband, of Jamesport; her sons, Jonathan, of South Carolina, Jesse, of West Sayville, and Sean, of Greenvale, N.Y.; her mother; her brother, Raymond Keating; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors Wednesday, Jan. 15 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue, where a funeral service will take place during the evening hours. Cremation will be private.
