Photos: NFCT presents ‘Steel Magnolias’

North Fork Community Theatre in Mattituck will present “Steel Magnolias” beginning tonight. Performances will continue Fridays to Sundays through Feb. 2.

The cast of Robert Harling’s comedy/drama, set in a small-town beauty salon in Louisiana, features Catherine Maloney, Grace Phelan, Linda Aydinian, Amanda Mouzakes, Lisa Westfall and Marilee Scheer. The show is directed by Robert Horn and produced by Babette Cornine.

Curtain time is 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays. An opening-night reception tonight is at 7 p.m.

Theatergoers will have the opportunity to buy raffle tickets for a queen-size Amish quilt in the log cabin and pinwheel pattern. Proceeds will support the theater’s renovation campaign. The drawing will be held at the Feb. 2 performance.
