It’s possible that as much as two inches of fresh snow could be on the roads when you leave for work Monday.

In a winter weather outlook issued Sunday afternoon, the National Weather Service said between one and two inches of snow could fall overnight, beginning about 8 p.m.

While the overnight snow has been in the forecast since early last week, meteorologists also have their eye on another storm expected to hit Wednesday night into Thursday that could drop more than six inches on the North Fork.

“But the exact track, timing and intensity are still uncertain,” the National Weather Service in Upton reported.

Tonight’s storm is expected to taper off after 2 a.m.
