Most local schools closed Thursday; Greenport early dismissal

Updates on school closings, early dismissals and school event cancellations and postponements.

As of 10:40 a.m. Thursday:

• Greenport elementary school is closed and high school being let out at 10:45.

As of 8 a.m. Thursday:

• The Mattituck-Cutchogue, New Suffolk Oysterponds and Southold school districts are now closed Thursday. Bishop McGann-Mercy High School, Our Lady of Mercy, Riverhead Charter School and Peconic Community School are also closed.

• Two-hour delayed opening at Greenport.
