Mattituck man arrested for DWI, operating unregistered vehicle

A Mattituck was arrested for driving while intoxicated Wednesday night after cops pulled him over for an expired inspection, according to Southold Town police.

Craig Durland, 40, was heading eastbound on Route 48 in Cutchogue about 11:30 p.m. when he was pulled over and found to be intoxicated, police said.

Mr. Durland was arrested for felony DWI, driving without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and having an expired inspection, according to a police report.

He was transported to Southold Town Police Headquarters, processed and held until for morning arraignment, police said.
