Pickup truck engulfed in flames in Jamesport
A blue Dodge pickup truck became fully engulfed in flames on Manor Lane Tuesday afternoon and Jamesport firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.
The driver and a passenger, both men, heard two pops as they were driving south on Manor Lane shortly before noon, officials at the scene said. They smelled smoke and quickly pulled over about 1/4 mile south of Sound Avenue. In a matter of seconds, the car became fully engulfed in flames, officials said.
Jamesport firefighters responded to the scene and quickly had the fire under control.
The cause of the fire was not immediately clear. There were no injuries.
