The following art events are taking place around or near the North Fork.

•The Times Vintage Shop & Gallery in Greenport will present ‘Solstice,’ a “celebration of art, music and summer light,” beginning with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 21. The exhibit will feature nature-inspired artwork by local and New York City artists Maggie Harrsen, Kara Hoblin, Julian Lorber, Jordan Robin and Elizabeth Sweigart. The reception will include a musical performance by Vulpes.

• Work by Corey Solinger and Marilyn Stevenson will be featured from June 19 to 30 at Gallery Crossing in Peconic. Ms. Solinger’s work explores “real and imagined landscapes,” according to a release, and Ms. Sacks’ work combines her love of watercolors with Chinese brush painting (“sumi-e”).

• Coming up at East End Arts in Riverhead:

Painter Justine Moody will demonstrate the process of wet felting for felt flowers and felted soaps, using merino wool, on Saturday, June 21, at the EEA gallery. Stop in between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for the free program. The demonstration is part of the Artisan Showcase Series. Ms. Moody’s art pieces will be available for sale. She will be giving felting and clay workshops this summer; for information, go to eastendarts.org under School.

‘Composition,’ a juried, all-media exhibit, opened with a reception Friday, June 20, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the gallery. Guest juror is artist Eric Brown, co-owner of Tibor de Nagy Gallery in New York. The show runs through Aug. 1.

Applications are being accepted for an intensive nine-week, tuition-free jazz ensemble workshop for high school musicians. The Music Masters Fellowship Program will be led by professional guitarist Steve Salerno, who has performed all over the world. Musicians and vocalists ages 14-18, in all instruments and vocal ranges, are welcome to apply.

Sessions will be held Monday evenings, Sept. 29 to Dec. 1, at East End Arts School in Riverhead. A performance will be held Tuesday, Dec. 2. There are no fees.
