Featured Letter: Mattituck Schools should do right by our vets

To the Editor:

I was disappointed to learn from Southold Town last week that the Mattituck-Cutchogue School District did not have a meeting by March to discuss or approve a program for our local veterans to get discounts on their school taxes for the coming year. 

Both Southold and Greenport school districts approved the discounts.

Being married to a disabled Vietnam veteran who has served his duty for our country, things like this approval for the school tax discount should have been done for our local area veterans.
