Cops: Three arrested in underage alcohol operation
Three local store clerks were arrested Thursday after New York State Police conducted an “underage drinker enforcement operation” in Southold Town and Greenport Village, police said.
Issued appearance tickets in the sting and charged with unlawful dealing with a child and prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage were:
• Danielle Hubbard, 27, of Greenport, a clerk at 7-Eleven in Greenport.
• James Polychron, 64, of Shelter Island, a clerk at Greenport Wines & Spirits.
• Nicholas Cevette, 19, of Cutchogue, a clerk at 7-Eleven in Cutchogue.
Nine other establishments were targeted and found to be in compliance with the law, police said. They are:

Claudios Wines & Liquors, Greenport
TSM Grocery, Greenport
