Cops: Southold man caught driving drunk without a license

A 36-year-old man is facing drunken and unlicensed driving charges after he was caught driving out of his lane in Southold Monday night, according to a town police statement. 

Tomas Vasquez-Ochoa of Southold was seen driving a 1999 Ford Explorer east on Route 48 about 9:40 p.m., police said. An officer pulled over Mr. Vasquez-Ochoa and after interviewing him, found that he was intoxicated, according to the statement.

Mr. Vasquez-Ochoa was arrested at the scene and charged with driving while intoxicated and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, both misdemeanors, as well as violations for unlicensed driving and moving out of his lane, police said.
