Little League: Mattituck Mets win 10-U title

The Mattituck Mets 10-U baseball team won the National Junior League Baseball Regional Division Championship Saturday in a three-game series against West Warriors.

The Mets won Game 1 in extra innings, 4-3, with the winning run in the eighth. In Game 2, the Mets rallied to score six runs in the top half of the last inning for an 8-5 victory.

The Mets finished atop the eight-team standings this summer with an 11-3-2 record. They’re 3-0 in the playoffs.
