Achievements: Dean’s List, graduations & more

Corinne Araneo, daughter of William and Mary Lou Araneo of Cutchogue, has graduated with distinction from Suffolk County Community College, earning an associate degree in applied arts. Ms. Araneo, who is also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society, will continue her studies at St. Joseph’s College. 

• Andrew L’Hommedieu, a 2012 Mattituck High School graduate, has successfully completed the 29-day Army ROTC Leader Development and Assessment course, known as “Operation Warrior Forge,” at Fort Knox, Ky.

• The University of Rhode Island in Kingston has named the following local students to its spring semester dean’s list: Michael Mangiamele and Nora Zuhoski, both of Cutchogue, and Caitlyn Walsh and Courtney Walsh, both of Southold.

• Nicolas Amara, son of Tom and Cheryle Amara of Southold, has been chosen as an Academic Fellow at Eugene Lang, The New School, where he is a senior in the literary studies/writing program.
