Cops make pair of DWI arrests

Southold Police made two DWI arrests Friday night in unrelated incidents.

According to police, a 49-year-old Richmond Hill woman was arrested just before 6 p.m. on Route 25 in Cutchogue. Police said Kathleen Mullins was stopped for a traffic violation, was found to be intoxicated, and was arrested on a misdemeanor DWI charge.

Police said 23-year-old Mattituck resident Erik Barrios-Caal was arrested around 9:30 p.m. near Wickham Avenue and Pike Street in Mattituck. According to police, Mr. Barrios-Caal was seen failing to stay in his lane, as well as tailgating the vehicle in front of him, when he was stopped and found to be intoxicated. He was charged with misdemeanor DWI as well.

Both were held for overnight arraignment.
