Cops: Greenport man caught driving drunk in Southold

A 27-year-old Greenport man was arrested in Southold Monday afternoon for driving drunk, Southold police said.

Alfredo Argueta was heading eastbound on Route 48 near Ackerly Pond Lane when officers noticed him swerving out of his lane, causing other vehicles to veer out of his way to avoid crashing, police said.

He was stop around 4:40p.m. and found to be intoxicated.

Mr. Argueta was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving without a license and failure to maintain his lane.
