Achievements: Local students excelling in college
• Lauren Ficurilli, Kenji Fujita and William Fujita, all of Southold, have been named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at Providence College in Providence, R.I.
• Aaron Pacholk of Greenport has been promoted to the rank of sergeant in the New York Army National Guard, Company B, 142nd Aviation.
• Katharine Frost, daughter of Timothy Frost and Margaret Minichini of Orient, has been named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa.
• Nicole Krupski of Mattituck has been named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., where she is a senior marketing major.
• Timothy Gadomski and Dory Lieblein, both of Greenport, and Kayla Healy of Mattituck have earned places on the fall 2014 dean’s list at the University of New Haven in West Haven, Conn.
• Nora Zuhoski of Cutchogue has been named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston.
• Megan Knapp of Peconic has earned a place on the fall 2014 dean’s list at Stonehill College in Easton, Mass., where she is studying graphic design.
• Emily Fliss of Mattituck has been named to the fall 2014 president’s list at Western New England University in Springfield, Mass., where she is pursuing a degree in social work.
• Anthony Nichols and Marvin Rodriguez, both of Greenport, have been named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at SUNY/Oneonta.
• Joanna Pontino of Peconic has earned a place on the provost’s list for the fall 2014 semester at SUNY/Oneonta.
• Emily Ciamaricone of Mattituck has been named to the fall 2014 dean’s list at Wetsern New England University in Springfield, Mass., where she is majoring in pre-pharmacy.
