North Fork DECA students earn top awards in county competition

SOUTHOLD HIGH SCHOOL

There are 80 students that participate in Southold DECA's team, which is led by business teacher Kathy Williams. The group of students won 35 trophies and over 10 honorable mentions at the county competition.

First place winners: Steven Amato (broadcast advertisement); Gus Rymer (public service announcement); Kirk Smith (broadcast advertisement); Will Tondo (job interview, entry level); Eddie Ward (public speaking, prepared).

Second place winners: Billy Bucci (wholesale selling); Sean Moran (decision making, human resources); Willow Sutton (job interview, entry level)

Third place winners: Emma Alvarez (principles of marketing); Emily Pressler (travel and tourism, team test); Julia Saccamano (travel and tourism, team test); Julie Van Gorden (public service visual)
