• A piece by Cheryl Daters of Riverhead will be part of a March 19 auction to benefit the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Program.

The auction offers “Creative Cups,” artwork made using ordinary bras. Ms. Daters said about her piece, “A Thing of Beauty,” in a press release: “My creation reflects the dark and the light of this disease. The dark colors represent the first news of diagnosis. The light colors suggest hope. The flowers are in memory of those who lost the fight but also suggesting rebirth for survivors. The beadwork is a heaviness to bear as well as an armor for strength. The tulle on the shoulders brings a lightness … to help lift the burden of the disease. The rhinestones and buttons represent people of all backgrounds — cancer isn’t particularly biased between rich, poor, young or old.”

The auction will be held at Adelphi University in Garden City. Visit adelphi.edu/creative-cups or call 800-877-8077.

‘The Long Island Love Story,’ a poetry and performance event, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at East End Arts School’s carriage house in Riverhead.

The event will feature poet Lucas Hunt and work by Long Island artists. Admission is free, with a suggested donation of $5. Visit eastendarts.org or call 369-2171.

• A closing reception and video screening for ‘A Port of Views,’ an exhibition by Flanders artist Andrea Cote, will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Floyd Memorial Library in Greenport.

The display will include an interactive sculpture planned for this summer in Mitchell Park as well as photography and silkscreens portraying the eyes and stories of Greenport families who have lived in the village for several generations, including the White, Horton, Watkins, Costello and Tasker families.

The film will begin at 2, followed by the reception.

• Abstract paintings by Adam Cohen of Roxbury, N.Y., and encaustic-infused photography by Robert Moore of New York will be on view Feb. 11 to April 29 at Jamesport Manor Inn’s Rosalie Dimon Gallery. An artists’ reception is set for 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 1.

Mr. Cohen will show work from his recent “Tumultuous Harmonies” series. Mr. Moore’s work is titled “Koi Dreams.”

The exhibit is a joint presentation by East End Arts and Jamesport Manor Inn.
