Forecasters are predicting snow on Tuesday morning that could create problems on the roadways during rush hour.

A storm is expected to develop after midnight and bring 3 to 4 inches of snow in time for the morning commute, according National Weather Service meteorologists.

NWS issued a hazardous weather outlook Monday afternoon.

A winter storm advisory will go into effect at midnight and will remain in place until noon on Tuesday, according to the Weather Service.

On the brighter side, the quick-moving storm will likely taper off by noon, said John Murray, a Weather Service meteorologist.

Though strong winds are expected to die down overnight Monday into Tuesday, the frigid temperatures are sticking around, Mr. Murray said.

Wind chills could be as low as -5 degrees Tuesday, he said.
