Cops: Mastic Beach man arrested on drug charge

Southold Police arrested a Mastic Beach man on misdemeanor drug charges after a traffic stop in Greenport Tuesday morning, according to a press release. 

Lee Terry Jr, 27, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession fo marijuana, police said.

Mr. Terry was stopped for a traffic violation at 10:07 a.m. near Main Street and Center Street. Police detected an odor of marijuana from the car while interviewing Mr. Terry, police said. A search revealed a marijuana cigarette and a white round pill, which police determined to be Oxycodone, according to the release. Mr. Terry did not have a prescription for the pill, police said.

He was arrested and is due back in court after being released on bail, police said.
