Greenport’s Dances in the Park to return

Get your groove on this summer as Greenport’s annual music and dance series “Dances in the Park” returns to Mitchell Park on July 6.

Mitchell Park, located on Front Street, is a popular tourist destination with a marina, carousel, the camera obscura display and even a skating rink in the winter.

Dances in the Park will showcase a different band and genre every Monday night from July 6 to August 31.

Each concerts kick off at 7:30 p.m. There is no fee to attend.

July 13 — Swingtime Big Band Authentic swing in Living Color

July 20 — Swan Live Soul, Motown, R&B

July 27 — Golden Fists of Fury Funk, Ska, Reggae

Aug. 3 — Latinology Latin, Cha-Cha, Merengue

Aug. 10 — Southbound Keep’n it Country

Aug. 17 — Winston Irie Roots, Reggae

Aug. 24 — Pamela Betti Band L.I.’s Blues Diva

Aug. 31 — Gene Casey & The Lonesharks Maximum Rhythm & Twang
