Southold Blotter: DWI arrest and a stolen leaf blower

A Pennsylvania man was arrested on a drunken driving charge on Love Lane in Mattituck Sunday night, according to a Southold Town police report.

Dean Harmer, 44, was pulled over for a traffic violation while driving a 2004 Toyota Tundra about 11:25 p.m., police said. He was found to be intoxicated and was arrested at the scene, according to the report.

Mr. Harmer was charged with misdemeanor DWI.

• Someone stole a backpack leaf blower from a Southold property last Wednesday, according to a police report.

The leaf blower was worth about $500 and was reported stolen from the property on Ackerly Pong Lane about 1:45, police said.
