The celebration isn’t over for Southold Town just yet. In honor of its 375th anniversary, a parade will be held Saturday, Aug. 1.

The event will kick off at 11 a.m. at the intersection of Route 25 and South Harbor Lane and conclude at the intersection of Route 25 and Boisseau Avenue. That section of Route 25 will be closed for the duration of the parade.

“I think a parade with these events has been a tradition since the town started doing [anniversary] celebrations,” said parade committee member Peggy Murphy.

The parade is just one part of the town’s yearlong 375th anniversary celebration, which has included events like Mile Markers Day in May, concerts and monthly historical presentations at local libraries.
