Helicopter noise forum set for Thursday night at town rec center
Southold Town and Suffolk County Legislator Al Krupski will host an open meeting Thursday night to discuss ongoing concerns about helicopter noise and air traffic over the North Fork.
The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Southold Town Recreation Center (970 Peconic Lane, Peconic) and will feature guest panelists to share the latest developments.
Speakers include Kevin Dowling, Legislative Aide for Congressman Lee Zeldin’s office, East Hampton Town Supervisor Larry Cantwell, Kathy Cunningham of the Quiet Skies Coalition, representatives from the Southold Town helicopter committee, and several Citizen Advisory Council members from South Fork communities.
To make sure everyone has a chance to speak, panelists are limited to a five-minute speech, while residents who attend will have three minutes to ask questions or offer comments.
