Adopt these pets for free during Clear the Shelters Day

In an effort to unite the shelters dogs and cats with new owners, Riverhead and Southold Animal Shelters, which are part of the North Shore Animal Welfare League, are teaming up with NBC 4 New York and Telemundo 47 to host Clear the Shelters Day on Saturday, Aug. 15.

Here are some of the pets available for adoption:

“She loves kids. She’s overall a really sweet dog who just wants to cuddle and be near people.”

“Lefty’s owners moved and left her behind. She was brought up with children in the house. And she loves to do the agility course here; she’s really good at it.”
