Cops: Two hospitalized after boat runs aground in Southold

Two people were injured when a boat ran aground in Southold Saturday evening, town police said.

The 31-foot Sea Ray out of Swampscott, Mass. ran aground at Paradise Point shortly before 6 p.m. A Shelter Island bay constable, Southold bay constables, and the Southold Fire Department responded to the scene, police said.

Two of the boat’s eight passengers were transported to Eastern Long Island Hospital with undisclosed injuries, police said.
