Cops: Southold man charged with DWI in Hampton Bays

A 22-year-old Southold man faces charges for drunken driving and marijuana possession after he was pulled over on Route 27 in Hampton Bays Sunday, state police said.

Alexander Passanant was stopped for “traffic violations” while headed west, according to a news release. Mr. Passanant was found to be drunk and in possession of marijuana, police said.

He was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI and marijuana possession, a violation, according to the police statement. He was released from custody with a ticket for a future court date in Southampton Town Court, police said.
