Cops: Mattituck man charged with DWI

A 48-year-old Mattituck man was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Cutchogue Wednesday night, Southold Town police said. 

Joseph Piscatello failed to signal while changing lanes and crossing over a solid white shoulder marking on Route 48, police said. He was stopped and found to have a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, slurred speech and bloodshot, glassy eyes, police said.

Mr. Piscatello failed a standardized field sobriety test, police said. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters to be held for arraignment.
