Cops: 45-year-old man arrested on harassment charges in Mattituck

A Centereach man was arrested Thursday after threatening another man in the parking lot at 7-Eleven in Mattituck, Southold Town police said.

Richard Kurdt, Jr., 45, threatened to cause physical harm to the victim shortly after 11 p.m. and had also been involved in a “similar incident” earlier that night, police said.

Mr. Kurdt was charged with second-degree harassment and held at police headquarters for an arraignment, officials said.
