Cops: Man charged with aggravated DWI in Southold

A 55-year-old man was caught driving drunk without his license in Southold early Friday, Southold Town police said.

According to a news release, Dennis Henry of Bethpage was headed east on Route 48 about 1:20 a.m. when he was seen driving out of his lane. A police officer pulled Mr. Henry over and found he was intoxicated, according to the report.

Mr. Henry allegedly refused to take a breath test at the scene, according to the report, and was arrested at the scene. He was charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor, as well as traffic violations for refusing the test, driving out of his lane and unlicensed driving.
