Elizabeth M. Dickerson

Elizabeth M. Dickerson of Southold died Oct. 12, 2015. She was 90.

She was born June 4, 1925, in Greenport to Joseph F. and Elsie V. (McMann) Carroll and was a graduate of Southold High School.

On Nov. 22, 1947, she married George V. Dickerson at St. Patrick R.C. Church in Southold.

Betty was a communicant of St. Patrick R.C. Church and was also a member of the Rosary Society. She was a volunteer for American Cancer Society.

Predeceased by her husband George V. Dickerson on June 23, 2008, she is survived by her children: Elizabeth Carr of Concord, NC, George Robert Dickerson (Peggy) of Cutchogue, Susan Mohr (Christopher) of Middletown, Conn. and Carol Mills (Robert) of East Marion; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Tyndall, Robert Dickerson, Timothy and Kati Mohr, Sara Tirelli, Lauren Reedy and Mariah and Robert Mills and seven great-grandchildre, Aaron, Darrien, Haylie, Corey, Casey, Sean and Hanna.

The family received visitors on Oct. 16 at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Oct. 17 at St. Patrick R.C. Church by Father Peter Garry. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
