Triathlon photos tend to be very challenging. There are lots of participants, the athletes are moving fast, the lighting can be difficult and you often have no idea who the winner will be. Sometimes the best race photographs — and sports shots in general — tend to be the ones that transcend the event itself and instead capture a moment that makes you take a deeper look at the picture. This shot from Daniel De Mato is a work of art. It belongs in a museum, not just the cover of The Suffolk Times.
