Editor’s picks: My favorite staff photos of 2015

People running for office can often be difficult to photograph. They are very aware that you’re taking your photograph. They want to project a certain image and so it becomes a challenge to get a photo that really illustrates the story you are writing. This shot of Democratic town supervisor candidate Damon Rallis really shows him wearing his heart on his sleeve. I can’t say for sure what results he was seeing at this moment, but his reaction to the votes coming in is priceless.
