Patricia Ann Gomez

Patricia Ann “Patsy” Gomez, 79, of East Marion died Jan. 19.  

The daughter of Elizabeth (Brown) and George Robinson, she was born April 21, 1936, in Brooklyn. She married Edward Gomez Sr. Sept. 18, 1954, in Brooklyn.

Ms. Gomez worked as a secretary for Valley Stream Central High School for 30 years. She was a member of the Orient Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Family members said she enjoyed arts and crafts.

Predeceased by her husband in 2001, her son Andrew and her son Michael in 2009, Ms. Gomez is survived by her sons Edward Jr. and Daniel and one grandchild.

The family received visitors  Jan. 21 at Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport. A 10 a.m. funeral mass was held Jan. 22 at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport, officiated by Father Richard P. Hoerning. Burial followed at Calverton National Cemetery.
