Engagement: Leah Bufkins and Michael Leonard

Marlene and Doug Bufkins of Southold, along with Nancy and Rob Leonard of Jamesport, have announced the engagement of their children Leah Bufkins and Michael Leonard.

Leah graduated from Southold High School in 2008 and earned a bachelor’s degree in foreign languages and culture in 2012 from Assumption College in Worcester, Mass. She received her master’s in teaching English to speakers of other languages from Molloy College in Rockville Centre in 2014. She teaches English as a New Language (ENL) at Southold Elementary School.

Michael graduated from Riverhead High School in 2005 and earned a bachelor’s degree in justice and law administration in 2009 from Western Connecticut State University in Danbury. He is a service technician for S&L Irrigation, his family’s business.

Their wedding will take place on the North Fork in the summer of 2017.
