Cops: Southold woman arrested on drug charges

A Southold woman was arrested Friday on drug charges after she was caught speeding in Mattituck, Southold Town police said.

Katelyn Worysz, 24, was pulled over shortly after 11:20 p.m. for a traffic violation near the intersection of Route 48 and Cox Neck Road, officials said.

During the investigation, police found Ms. Worysz was in possession of marijuana, officials said.

She was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and speeding, police said.

Ms. Worysz was released from police custody with a future court date, officials said.
