Cops: East Setauket man charged for DWI

Southold Town police arrested an East Setauket man for driving while intoxicated early Sunday morning. 

Police observed Steve Sinacore, 34, traveling westbound on Route 25 in Greenport at 2:26 a.m. and he failed to maintain his lane of travel, was speeding and improperly signaled, police said. Mr. Sinacore was stopped and police said he had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, slurred speech and blood-shot eyes.

He was arrested on the misdemeanor DWI charge as well as traffic violations, police said.

He was held for a morning arraignment.
